these colorful holiday light displays in and around Madison
It’s December! That means chilly days, potential for flying
snow, mugs of hot chocolate, and gorgeous holiday lights!
Here are some
of the fun light displays in and around Madison—and don’t forget to drive
around your own hometown—you never know where you’ll find a twinkling show!

Holiday Fantasy in Lights. Presented by The
Electric Group, drive through this Madison favorite at Olin Park, 1156 Olin
Court. Open through Jan. 1, you’ll enjoy
the lights from dusk til dawn—don’t forget to pick up your candy canes at the
exit!

Holiday Lights in Ripley Park. Visit Cambridge through Jan. 1 to enjoy a scenic
half-mile-ish drive in Ripley Park---it “will be sure to put you in the holiday
spirit.”

Rotary Park, 381 E. Main St., Stoughton. This light show presented by the Stoughton
Rotary Club and Stoughton Fire Department is funded by community donations and
set to music. Watch the spectacular
dancing lights from the warmth of your car.

Drive by University Avenue at University Bay
Dr., Madison to see the colorful, impressive holiday hedge you won’t soon
forget.

Zoo Lights 2022, Henry
Vilas Zoo. December 19-23; December
26-30. General admission: $10, children
under 3 free. “Experience the Zoo after
hours under the glow of almost one million lights! All tickets include unlimited carousel
rides.”

Rotary Botanical Gardens 2022 Holiday Light Show, Janesville. Take an after-dark stroll along the garden
paths—see over 1.2 million lights, themed displays, and animations! Purchase tickets online. Adults $12, children
3-12 $5, 2 and under, free.

Waunakee Rotary Lights. Walk or drive through this lovely
display. It’s a winter wonderland at
Waunakee’s Village Park!

Fitchburg Holiday Lights Tour. Saturday,
December 17, 6-9. Google map of
participating addresses will be available 12/16 on the city’s website and
Facebook event page. Look for yard
signs. Expect “oohs and aahs all
throughout the city…”
